The Athens-Clarke County Police Department Communications Division is hiring full-time Dispatchers
The Central Communications Division is vital to our public safety mission as well as the safety of our officers. The Communications Center operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
​
The Central Communications Division is responsible for dispatching the Police Department, Athens-Clarke County Fire Department, Clarke County Sheriff’s Office, and taking medical phone calls. Central Communications Division staff answer incoming emergency 9-1-1 calls and non-emergency calls for service for our different public safety agencies.

Qualifications
• 18 Years of Age

• High school graduate/GED
​
• Required to work holidays/weekends
​
• Work 12-hour rotating shifts
​
